Hope in Cyberspace

The following is an exherpt from my personal journal:

As I sit here pondering the state of the web I know it is very easy to fall into a pit of despair seeing the corpos keep their stranglehold on the average persons connected experience, however I still want to be able to see the positives we still have along the way. Many, many talented people have ventured out into the wild spaces of the net to carve their own path, through independent sites, gopherholes, Gemini capsules and remote terminals we keep the net interesting for those that stray off the beaten path.
