Busy Times

It has been a busy time for me these past few weeks, so this site has been rather silent. With holidays and deadlines comimg up I have had to focus on real life for a bit, but do not fear for I have plans and things in the works. I have done a little cleaning up of the CSS and (thanks to a kind email letting me know) fixed the RSS to not redirect to localhost (a product of me not updating Hugo’s public dir before syncing).

As I sit here pondering the state of the web I know it is very easy to fall into a pit of despair seeing the corpos keep their stranglehold on the average persons connected experience, however I still want to be able to see the positives we still have along the way. Many, many talented people have ventured out into the wild spaces of the net to carve their own path, through independent sites, gopherholes, Gemini capsules and remote terminals we keep the net interesting for those that stray off the beaten path.

Now with the magic of Emacs I can compile all my blog posts from the comfort of an org-buffer thanks to the wonderful ox-hugo!!!

Now nothing can stop me!!! MWAAHAHAHAHA.

So I finally found some more time to attend to this site and get it into a state where I am confidient I can post stuff!!!

I have added a link to the main site RSS feed on the front page, so add it to your reader if you want (no pressure :P).

I also added some new badges at the bottom of the site.

An Introduction

Hello!

I have been working on and off on plans to reformat this site, and now that I have a skeleton functional and ready to go I think it is time to take it online!

There are a lot of things I am planning to do with this place aside from a blog, such as maintaining a link directory and a digital garden of things that I find interesting.

I an still getting the general look of the site worked out, but I have a plan sketched out for how the CSS and background elements should look when I am done. It might take a bit of time as I develop the skills to make the changes I want, as I am in no way an artist or web-dev.
